The Maine Idyll has been owned and operated by the Marstaller family since it was established in the 1930's. All the cottages have been extensively updated while retaining much of the ambiance of an era that was simpler and more leisurely paced. We take pride in our clean, comfortable cottages, friendly service, pretty surroundings, and excellent value. We've had thousands of repeat customers over the years that like our style and price. We think you will too. The Maine Idyll has 20 cottages interspersed among a pretty grove of trees. The cottages accommodate two to six guests each. All have modern bathrooms with shower stalls or bathtubs, gas or electric heat, color TV, porches and very comfortable beds. Many units have fireplaces (free firewood provided) and mini kitchens. Some cottages are handicap accessible. Other amenities include two children's play sets, picnic tables, and walking trails. A free light breakfast is available each morning from 7:30 to 10:30.
